Charles Omega
Founder & Managing Partner
Charles Omega is the Founder and Managing Partner of Omega Global Health Consulting (OGHC), a Nairobi-based healthcare consulting firm working with clients in Kenya, East and Central Africa, the wider continent and international markets.
His professional background is in health insurance and the business of healthcare. He has worked across medical claims management, utilisation review, provider network development, corporate medical benefits and healthcare cost optimisation, the areas where the cost, quality and accessibility of care are decided day to day. Alongside this, he has used healthcare analytics on claims and utilisation data to show organisations where money is spent, where it is lost, and how operations and performance can improve.
That experience shapes how OGHC works. Insurers, healthcare providers, employers and public institutions often face the same underlying questions: is a scheme designed around real need, are claims paid accurately and on time, do provider networks deliver value, and are decisions backed by evidence? Charles founded OGHC to answer those questions independently, without selling insurance or earning commission, and to give clients recommendations they can implement.
Under his leadership, OGHC is also building capability in fields that will shape healthcare over the coming decade: health economics and financing, healthcare policy development, health systems strengthening, digital health and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. These are newer areas for the firm, which OGHC is developing through its research, training and capacity-building work and, where an engagement calls for it, with specialist associates.
His aim is for OGHC to become a trusted healthcare advisory partner to insurers, providers, employers, governments and development organisations in Kenya, across Africa and internationally, known for independent judgement, careful analysis and advice that holds up in practice.
